In a three-way partnership with Chris Holmes, (A Bee Freer) and Heathcote Wines,
Café Locked Out is proud to present the first ever Bee Free Wine.
A description of the wine is below, but our goal is twofold.
1:to offer our community more than a bottle of wine, rather a symbol of Freedom to take to dinner parties or offer as a gift.
The Bee Free Symbol is based on the native, Blue Banned Bee.
The Blue Bee doesn’t live in a hive,
Doesn’t follow a queen
Yet it still pollinates flowers.
Meaning it wants to be a vital part of society, while also protecting its autonomy.
A portion of the profit goes to keeping Café Locked Out, and Florence the Freedom Bus on the road.
The wine is $29 a bottle plus $15 dollars postage and handling.
But if you order a case, then the postage is the same.

Heathcote is famous for its ancient red Cambrian soils, over half a billion years old. These soils produce Shiraz with incredible depth—blackberry, dark plum, a touch of spice, and that signature Heathcote richness that lingers long after the glass is empty.

A mild, even growing season gave the fruit time to ripen slowly and perfectly. No heat spikes, no rush—just beautifully balanced berries with natural acidity, fine tannins, and layers of flavour that only come around in truly exceptional years.
