Lyrics

Gravity feels stronger these days
is that why our energy continues to fade?
It’s like we’ve woken up on someone else’s earth?
It’s like we’ve all woken up on somebody else’s earth?

Where were we when everything was changed?
Was it when they made our houses our cage?
for ever since then everything we loved
is now another reason to be ashamed .

Why are we putting up with all of this?
Don’t we want all of our kids to know
that they are all wanted,
And that this land is their home

Why are we putting up with all of this?
Don’t we want all of our kids to know
that they are all wanted,
And that this land is their home

The cor-ell-as are on fire tonight
sharing their defiant larrikin souls.
A Larrikin song our kids may never sing
in the silent world, we’re building for them.

A quiet world full of debt and shame,
that we are leaving to them,
A silent world, were the larrikins
were the choirs of yesterday.

Why are we putting up with all of this?
Don’t we want all of our kids to know
that they are all Australians
And that this land is their home

Why are we putting up with all of this?
Don’t we want all of our kids to know
that they are all Australians,
And that this land is their home
